Legally, in NC, young persons 14 and 15 years of age may be employed outside school hours in a variety of non-manufacturing and non-hazardous/non-detrimental jobs for limited periods of time and under specified conditions. Cashiers, cafes/restaurants, clothing/shoe stores etc. Other than businesses, you can create your own opportunities. Do up a flyer, listing what services you are offering (in home): Babysitting Dog walking House work Yard maintenance Car cleaning etc. Have your phone number and mention your reliability and hourly rate (or standard pricing for certain jobs). Hand these out to family, parents of friends and your local neighbours.
